God's Plan for You

God's Plan for this World and You

THE view of planet earth, seen from outer space, is very beautiful indeed. Confirmation of this has come from the astronauts who have gazed upon it. The earth is the fairest jewel in God's creation and it is the chosen place in the whole universe where He has promised to reveal His Kingdom in all its glory. That is why it is so beautiful.

The earth, of all the planets in the solar system, is the one that is perfectly suited to all forms of life and the one that orbits at exactly the right distance from the sun to provide comfortable conditions for the human race.

You owe it to yourself and your family to be sure of what it is you believe, the Apostle Paul has told us to "work out our own salvation with fear and trembling"  Philippians 2:12

What We Believe

True Bible Teaching fundamental beliefs are:

  1. The Bible is God's word and the only message from him. It is without error, except for copying and translation errors.
  2. There is only one God - the Father. The Holy Spirit is God's power.
  3. Jesus is the Son of God, and a human being, through his mother Mary.
  4. Man is mortal, having no existence when dead.
  5. By living a sinless life, ending with his sacrificial death by crucifixion, Jesus has opened the way of salvation from death.
  6. Belief and baptism are essential steps to salvation.
  7. God raised Jesus from death. Jesus is currently in Heaven, on God's right hand. He will one day return.
  8. When Jesus returns, he will raise his "sleeping" followers from death and grant immortality to the faithful who have tried to live by God's precepts.
  9. His followers will help him to rule, bringing justice, righteousness and peace to the whole world - the Kingdom of God.

Truth Seeker - True Bible Teaching

The Bible is our only true source for the Truth!

If we claim to follow Christ we should trust in the Scriptures as confidently as Jesus and his Apostles did:

Jesus said that: The Scripture cannot be broken.  (John 10:35)

Paul said that: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Peter said that: For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21)

The things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven (1 Peter 1:12)

True faith must be founded on a fully inspired Bible.

The OFFER of LIFE or DEATH

God's Offer of LIFE or DEATH

“Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.   See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him… This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life…"  Deuteronomy Chapter 30:12-20

From this passage we see how important it is to each one of us that we seek after God and His Word the Bible to us.

Without this we have no hope of LIFE, but only a future of DEATH.

This Word of God was originally given to the Nation of Israel and later it spread via the Apostles of Christ to the World, that even we today might have this same HOPE of LIFE ETERNAL.

It is UP to YOU then to seek out God’s Word, to KNOW what is the TRUTH of God’s Word so that you and your family might KNOW the way of LIFE ETERNAL and the great HOPE of living in God’s Kingdom on EARTH.

Do not let your HOPE rest upon others and most importantly on what others teach, search it out for yourself because we have been warned that the churches would be astray from God’s word in the last days.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”   2 Timothy 4:3-4

Too much is at stake for you to not act yourself to seek out the TRUTH.

Christ himself has told us to do this when he said…

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. Godis a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24

The Dinosaur Problem

T Rex Tissue Stumps Evolutionists

T-Rex Soft Tissue Disproves Evolution

Clip from “T.R.U.T.H. About the Dinosaurs” DVD

Is there something wrong when a supposedly 70 million-year-old tyrannosaurus rex dinosaur is found with soft tissue—including blood vessels and even whole cells? This is what a U.S. researcher reported in late March.  Biologist Mary Schweitzer discovered this soft tissue when it was necessary to break a T. rex’s huge thigh bone.

Schweitzer said that the vessels were flexible and some could even be squeezed. After extensive testing, there was confirmation that this T. rex bone even had hemoglobin (red blood cells).

This discovery is unexplained by evolutionary thinking, which suggests that millions and millions of years have passed since this “King of Dinos” met its demise. Schweitzer is puzzled and cannot understand why this bone was not mineralized. “It’s very amazing. It’s utterly shocking, actually, because it flies in the face of everything we understand about how tissues and cells degrade,” she said on MSNBC.

“It’s very amazing. It’s utterly shocking, actually….”

—Dr. Mary Schweitzer

In 1995, Joe Taylor, a professional dinosaur excavator and a biblical creationist, was curious about the hip girdle of another T. rex that was found in 1916. It was found in the same Hell Creek Formation where Schweitzer’s T. rex bone was found. Taylor was amazed that this 65 million-year-old specimen still had the appearance of skin on the sacral vertebrae. He sent a sample to Azusa Pacific College in California and had it scanned with an electron microscope by Professor Mark Armitage, who found that the bone had collagen filaments intact inside the bone. The presence of collagen suggests that this supposedly 65 million year old fossil was not completely fossilized. Armitage states, “It can’t be but a few thousand years old.”

So the Theory of Evolution is just that ‘A Theory’ that has never been proved and evidence like this says it can’t be and isn’t true.

The United Nations vs Israel

A look at the recent events surrounding UN and its anti Israel nature which has lead to the United States of AmericaUNESCO withdrawing during this last week from UNESCO.

On November 29, 1947 the United Nations voted on, and approved Resolution 181, the plan for the partition of Palestine, which was at that point ruled over by the British.  33 for, 13 against, and 10 abstentions, and God’s land had been parted.  It was a rare moment in history when the nations of the world voted to give the Jewish people a homeland, but it was on the back of the Holocaust and the very traumatic and publicized events surrounding the boat “Exodus 1947”.  Of course the Arab nations in the Middle East voted against the plan, and once the British had pulled out on May 15th, 1948 they attacked the newly proclaimed State of Israel.  Israel however won the war and increased their territory.

In 1967 the Arab world led by General Nasser decided to again attack Israel and rectify the Jewish problem.  They surrounded Israel with military might, shut the Straits of Tiran to Israeli shipping, and told the UN to pull out of the Sinai where there was a peace keeping force in place.  Unfortunately for them under all this pressure Israel decided it had no choice but to pre-emptively attack.  The June war of 1967 ultimately brought Israel the possession of the Sinai, the West Bank, the Golan Heights and further territory in the north.

It would take one more war in 1973 with Israel before the Arab world changed their tactics.  Egypt and Jordan made peace with Israel, but as a whole the Arab world along with many other nations in Africa and Europe (including and in fact especially the Vatican) have continued to make war on Israel through the use of the Palestinian people and the United Nations.  It has made the United Nations and its various arms into a continual force against Israel.

It is not surprising that if the Nations of the world are uniting over anything, they would find common ground between themselves in their hatred of God’s people.  Joel 3 tells us as much in the first three verses:

“1  For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,

2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.”

This anti-Israel bloc that is against God’s heritage is so blatant that even then - Secretary General Kofi Anan had to admit there was a problem.  In his speech to open the 61st General Assembly of the United Nations in September 2006 he said

“On one side, supporters of Israel feel that it is harshly judged by standards that are not applied to its enemies, and too often this is true, particularly in some UN bodies.”  Again on December 17, 2016 he said that there was a “disproportionate focus on Israel” that has “foiled the ability of the UN to fulfill its role effectively,” he further explained that “decades of political maneuvering have created a disproportionate number of resolutions, reports and committees against Israel.”  This is unfortunately an understatement.  Netanyahu spoke to this in a speech with maybe a little more explanation at the UN in 2016, the following is an excerpt:

“Year after year, I've stood at this very podium and slammed the U.N. for its obsessive bias against Israel and the U.N. deserved every scathing word. For the disgrace of the General Assembly, that last year passed 20 resolutions against the democratic state of Israel and a grand total of three resolutions against all the other countries on the planet.

King of the South is fulfilling Bible Prophecy

Israel and Saudi

The nations of the Arabian Peninsula and Egypt forge ties with Israel as expected from Bible prophecy supported by Britain and America.

Today we are witnessing the remarkable fulfilment of Bible Prophecy in the developments of Israel, Egypt and the Southern Gulf States of the Arabian Peninsula.

In Ezekiel 38, an alliance is seen opposing the northern alliance of nations that invade Israel.  They are described in this way:

Ezekiel 38:13 “13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?”

Tarshish is understood to be Britain and her young lions as the English speaking peoples that have grown from her empire,Britain Lion the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, etc.  The location of the Biblical Tarshish is clearly identifiable based on the Bible and historical records.

There are nations with these Tarshish nations and they are here called Sheba and Dedan.  These powers are fairly universally defined as nations of the Arabian Peninsula.  Today we would be talking primarily about Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

In Daniel chapter 11, this same power is called “the king of the south”.  The name alludes to southern section of the Grecian empire that after the death of Alexander was divided between his four generals. The dominant area of the southern kingdom was Egypt.  Daniel 11 focuses on two areas of this division in their relation to the nation of Israel, calling them the “king of the north” and the “king of the south.”

The Tarshish “king of the South” power is then seen to comprise of Egypt and the nations of the Arabian Peninsula.  As well as the English speaking trading nations.

In the group of aggressors spoken of in Ezekiel 38 we have a selection of Muslim nations also.  Persia, Ethiopia and Libya.  This tells us that there will be, as we are seeing today, a bitter division in the Muslim world.  We have a coalition of nations that include Muslims that are attacking the Jewish state and many others also, and we have Muslim nations that are standing with Israel.

For the decades following the establishment of the State of Israel, all Arab and Muslim countries stood firmly opposed to a Jewish state in their Biblical homeland.  They all vowed to drive Israel into the sea and attempted to do so in successive wars.  As the conflict has ground on and their ability to rouse the troops of their Arab neighbours to fight their battle worn thin, the tool of choice for the Palestinian Arabs has become the terror attack.  In fact, it really is the terror organizations pushing for Palestine to replace Israel that have popularized terrorism in the modern Muslim world.

The title of The Father of Modern Terrorism could be given to Yasser Arafat.  The first large suicide bombing campaign since WW2 was in Lebanon and carried out by what would become Hizbollah.  Israel’s enemies have bestowed upon the world the phenomenon of the terror attack.

Increasing number of Earthquakes

Is a sure Sign of the nearness of Christ’s Return

The number of significant earthquakes around the world continues to GROW IN NUMBER. The Illustration below reveals our planet as it continues to be rocked by a growing number of record-breaking earthquakes.  The last few weeks again has seen a range of earthquakes around the world and especially around the Pacific 'RING of FIRE'.

Where is next?

Fears rise as a chain of killer quakes hit the Pacific 'Ring of Fire'

  • Earthquakes struck NZ, Japan, Vanuatu, and Indonesia in less than 24 hours along the 'Ring of Fire'
  • The 'Ring of Fire' stretches from New Zealand to Chile through Indonesia, Japan, and California
  • There was also a huge 7.1 magnitude quake in Mexico City on Tuesday - but experts ruled out a connection

Pacific Ring of FireBy Nic White and Cheyenne Macdonald For Dailymail.com  PUBLISHED: 05:55 +10:00, 22 September 2017

In the span of just 24 hours this week, a series of powerful earthquakes rocked several locations along the Pacific one by one this week, all in a seismic region known as the ‘Ring of Fire’ - and experts say they can't rule out California being next.

Roughly 90 percent of the world’s earthquakes occur in this belt, which loops from New Zealand to Chile, passing through the coasts of Asia and the Americas on the way.

Now, after a 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit New Zealand on Wednesday followed by temblors off the coasts of Japan (6.1), Vanuatu (6.4), and Indonesia (5.7) early Thursday morning, others in its path – including California – are wondering if they could be next.

SIGNIFICANT WORLD EARTHQUAKES FROM 1982 TO 2014 REPORTED BY THE USGS

  • quake trend 1982 to 2014

  • Wow, just look at the increase in world-wide earthquakes in the last 10 years, and 2015, 2016 and now 2017 continues to increase.  And if that is not showing you clearly what is happening then take a look at this graph.
  • earthquakes 6 1900 TO 2014
  • Christ said this in Luke 21:10-11
"Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven."

AND AGAIN IN THE SAME CHAPTER HE SAID THIS:
"25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

Earthquakes – Sign of Christ’s Return

Christ is Coming!

Bible Teaching About Christ's Return to Earth

  • "Ye men of Galilee...Christ will come again in like manner..."

It was once fashionable in religious circles to say that Jesus Christ would never return to the earth. There are still plenty of professing Christians who believe that. But there are now many others who have come to believe that the Second Coming is a very important event.

True Bible Students have always taught that the Return of Jesus Christ to the earth is vital to the fulfilment of the purpose of God.

Behold Your King!

But what is the Second Coming of the Lord going to be like? For example, would it be possible to miss it altogether and not even be aware that it had occurred? Will it be visible or invisible? Will Jesus be there in person or merely a spiritual presence? And will he come to the earth or only towards the earth?
Jesus Christ rose bodily from the grave. He was not an invisible spirit creature but One who could be seen, handled and held (1 John 1:1; Luke 24:39,40). His body was marked by the evidence of his suffering on the cross. Yet he was no longer subject to the limitations of human existence. He could come and go despite locked doors, and on Mount Olivet he ascended bodily to heaven, defying the law of gravity. The disciples had seen him go; he would return visibly. As the angel later said: "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him" (Revelation 1:7). Or as Zechariah the Old Testament prophet had predicted, long before the crucifixion, "They shall look upon me whom they have pierced and they shall mourn for him" (12:10).

So it will not do to say that only those who look with faith will see the Lord. Some will look, see, and mourn (Revelation 1:7). Nor will it do to say that Jesus will come invisibly, for the Lord himself warned:

"Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christ’s and false prophets . . ." (Matthew 24:23,24).

Nor will it do to argue that the Bible talks of the presence of the Lord, meaning that it will be an invisible one. The New Testament also talks about the revelation of the Lord, using a word that means uncovering or manifesting. In fact, the presence (Greek: parousia) of the Lord turns out to be an especially suitable term. One of the most authoritative Greek Lexicons available says of the word:

"It became the official term for a visit of a person of high rank, especially of kings and emperors visiting a province" (Arndt and Gingrich).

It is such a visit by a King that the Scriptures foretell. The crowds who welcomed King Jesus into Jerusalem when he sat astride a donkey and they threw coats and' palm branches before him, shouted out greetings that referred right back to the Promises of God: "Blessed be the kingdom of our father David that cometh in the name of the Lord" (Mark 11:10). Matthew comments that the rejoicing was a foretaste of what had been forecast by Zechariah the prophet, when he wrote "Behold, thy King cometh unto thee".

Now if the initial royal visit was attended by such joy and rejoicing, consider what the next one will be like! The prophet had declared:

"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold thy king cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation. . . and he shall speak peace unto the heathen; and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth" (Zechariah 9:9,10).

Dual Fulfilment

This Scripture illustrates a widely used feature of Bible prophecy: its joint short and long-term character. Jerusalem rejoiced at the Kingly coming of Jesus -- "Lowly and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass" -- just as the prophet had said. But their joy was short-lived, for he did not then go on to establish worldwide peace, or commence to rule from Jerusalem over a Kingdom that was to last forever. Jesus completed enough of the prophecy at that time to demonstrate that he was the Coming One, and to give us confidence that he will return to complete the promised transformation of the earth. Zechariah compressed the two comings in such a way that there appeared to be no interval between them. This has led some people to argue that the Kingdom will never come, because, they say, even Jesus expected it in the First Century, or at most shortly afterwards. It has thus been dismissed by some as an early Christian hope, which has now been superseded by a superior understanding. But when all the Scriptures are studied carefully, it becomes clear that the Coming of Jesus was not to occur immediately after his ascension to heaven.

The Day and the Hour

Any attempt to show that Jesus was mistaken about the time of his Coming is doomed to failure. He clearly stated, more than once, that he did not know:

The Jews – God’s WitnessesIsrael

Whatever we may think of the nation of Israel and its actions among the nations of the world today, there is no denying the fact that Israel and the Jews have a primary role in the plan and purpose of God.

A Holy People

This is what was said about the children of Israel when they first became a nation following their remarkable and awe-inspiring deliverance from slavery in Egypt:

You are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt (Deuteronomy 7:6–8).

God’s Conditions

Anti Jewish SemitismIn Leviticus chapter 26 and Deuteronomy chapter 28, God told the nation how bountifully He would bless them if they were faithful to Him and what terrible terrible curses He would bring upon them if they turned away from Him and served other gods. Here are a couple of passages from Deuteronomy 28 about what would happen to them if they turned away from their God:

You shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword among all

nations where the Lord will drive you (Deuteronomy 28:37).

...Then the Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the  earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known – wood and stone. And among those nations you shall find no rest, nor shall the sole of your foot have a resting place; but there the Lord will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and anguish of soul. Your life shall hang in doubt before you; you shall fear day and night, and have no assurance of life. In the morning you shall say, ‘Oh, that it were evening!’ And at evening you shall say, ‘Oh, that it were morning!’ because of the fear which terrifies your heart, and because of the sight which your eyes see (Deuteronomy 28:64–67).

Witnesses

Because of their unfaithfulness, all the appalling things written about what would happen to them have come upon them throughout their long and gruelling history. In all this they bear witness to the veracity of the Word of God and to the One from whom they turned away.

Sadly, today many Jewish people do not even acknowledge God’s existence.

Yet the Scripture speaks for itself:

“You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “and My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no saviour. I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, and there was no foreign god among you; therefore you are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “that I am God” (Isaiah 43:10–12).

The Middle East ConflictA Nation Always in the News

It seems that Israel is never out of the news for long. Despite its small size and insignificance compared to the G8 nations, the spotlight of the world's attention falls frequently on this troubled country.

The World could give a few reasons why this might be;

  • A (generally) pro-western state surrounded by (generally) anti-western neighbours.
  • A (nominally) Judaistic nation surrounded by (nominally) Islamic Nations.
  • The powerful Jewish lobby in the United States and elsewhere, mustering support.
  • A capital city (Jerusalem), holy to three different (and often conflicting) religions; Judaism, Islam and Christianity.
  • One piece of land (Canaan), occupied by two nations, Israel and PalestineIsrael Map

However, the Bible Old Testament (a book holy to Islam, Judaism and Christianity) has a simpler explanation:

Isaiah 43:10 “You are my witnesses,” says the LORD, “With my servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no God formed, neither will there be after me."

Isaiah 44:8 Don’t fear, neither be afraid. Haven’t I declared it to you long ago, and shown it? You are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? Indeed, there is not. I don’t know any other Rock.”

The Bible says that Israel are God's witnesses. Through them, we can see God at work, bringing about His plan and purpose for the Earth.

Bible Prophecy Provides Convincing Proof that God Exists:

World Events and Bible Prophecy

As we hope to show, Bible prophecy is reliable and could only have come from God. Prophecies concerning Babylon, Egypt and particularly Israel are covered, as is Nebuchadnezzar's dream in Daniel Chapter 2.  World History has been prophecied in the Bible thousands of years before it has come to pass, learn more about this remarkable proof of the one True God of the Bible and your own future.

BIBLE PROPHECY - CONVINCING PROOF THAT GOD EXISTS

The Bible is a most remarkable book. Its account of the origin of evil; its unparalleled record of God's dealings with the nation of Israel; its searching message through their prophets; its "good news" proclaimed by Jesus Christ and his apostles; above all, its unerring analysis of the weaknesses of human nature and its contrasting portrayal of the holiness, the truth and the mercy of God, made especially plain in the person of His Son - all these are outstanding features found in no other book in the world. They prompted Henry Rogers over l00 years ago to declare: "The Bible is not such a book as man would have written if he could, nor could have written if he would."( In The Superhuman Origin of the Bible Deduced from Itself.) In other words, God is needed to explain its existence.

In this short work we shall consider one of the Bible's unique features: its prophecy. Now strictly prophecy is not just foretelling the future. A prophet was one who "spoke for" another, a spokesman; and prophecy was the message the prophet spoke on behalf of God. But since Bible prophecy contains quite a lot of "prediction", or foretelling future events, for our purpose here we shall take the term in that sense.

Who has the Power of Prophecy?

But first we must settle an important question: Does the Bible claim that the power of prophecy belongs only to God and is a proof of His authority?

To this there is a decisive answer in the prophecy of Isaiah. In the 41st chapter God challenges the idols and the idol worshippers of the day to prove that they possess divine powers. This is how He does it:

"Produce your cause, saith the Lord; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob, Let them (the idols) bring them, (the reasons) forth, and declare unto us what shall happen: declare ye the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; and shew us things to come ..." (vv.21-22,R.V.).

The basis of this challenge is clear: the pagan worshippers claim that their idols are gods. Very well; let them produce the proofs. And the proofs demanded by God Himself are that the idols shall announce future events, and also declare "the former things", that is, explain how creation took place in the beginning. The point is made crystal clear in the next verse:

"Declare the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods ..." (v.23).

Here God Himself is asserting that to be able to foretell the future would be a proof of Divine power. More than once in this part of Isaiah's prophecy, God declares that He is the only one who has this power, for only He is God; there is no other:

"Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God , and there is none like me ..." (46:9)

The God of Israel is here declaring that there is no other worthy object of worship but Himself; and goes on to assert the signs of His power in these terms:

". . . declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure" (46:10).

Come to think of it, whoever would dare to say, "My counsel shall stand . . ." -except God? What man is there in the whole world who could say any such thing? To carry it out needs Someone who not only knows future events before they happen, but has the power to see that they take place as He has decreed. In other words, to utter prophecy which will inevitably come true, you need God. No other cause can explain it.

The New Testament makes the same claim. When Jesus was about to leave his disciples, he promised them the help of the Holy Spirit in their task of preaching the Gospel in the world. One of the effects of this gift was to be: "He shall declare unto you the things that are to come" (John 16:13); in other words, the disciples were to be given a knowledge of future events. It is certainly implied that without the special gift they could not have done this. Their ability to declare the future was to be an evidence of the Divine power they had been granted.

Again, in the last book of the Bible, chapter 1, verse 1, it is declared that God gave to Jesus Christ a revelation, "to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly come to pass . . ." (Revelation 1:1) . The knowledge of the future came from God through Jesus; without that revelation, His servants could have known nothing of it.

The conclusion is clear: the Bible says quite definitely that the power to foretell the future belongs to God alone.

Does the Bible foretell the Future?

India the Eastern Tarshish unites with Israel

India and Israel develop economical, agricultural and military ties - fulfilling the words of the prophets.

In the week of 10th of July we witnessed a very significant event take place in Israel. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, visited Israel for three days. The reason this visit is significant is found both in Bible history and prophecy. India answers to the Easter Tarshish and as such will have both economic and military ties with Israel at the time of the end.

This week saw a very significant event take place in Israel. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, visited Israel for three days. Prime Minister Netanyahu brought his entire cabinet, heads of all the military and police, and religious leaders to meet Prime Minister Modi at the airport.

Prime Minister Netanyahu brought his entire cabine and religious leaders to meet Prime Minister Modi at the airport.

The reason this visit is significant is found both in Bible history and prophecy.

Tarshish in Bible Prophecy & History

As has been discussed many times in the Bible in the News, the nation of Tarshish has a significant role to play in the time of the end:

“Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?” (Ezekiel 38:13)

Who the nation of Tarshish is has been explored many times. Undoubtedly, Britain fulfills the role of Tarshish, while her former colonies, many of which now form the Commonwealth, are the young lions.

The link between Tarshish and Israel goes back thousands of years. King Solomon cooperated with Hiram King of Tyre to obtain materials for the building of the temple and the enriching of his kingdom through the services of the ships of Tarshish:

“And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was not any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon. For the king’s ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks. And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.” (2 Chronicles 9:20–22)

Tarshish has been identified both historically and archeologically with Britain based on the ancient trade in tin, lead and silver as catalogued in Ezekiel 27.

“Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in thy fairs.” (Ezekiel 27:12)

“They use brass money, and iron rings of a certain weight. The provinces remote from the sea produce tin, and those upon the coast iron…” (Julius Caesar, The Gallic Wars, Book 5, Chapter 12).This is testified to by Julius Caesar who in his book on the Gallic Wars related of Britain:

Samuel Bochart in 1651 testified the very name of Britain is derived from this:

“Britain is the name given to this island by the Phoenicians, when they trafficked hither for tin, calling it Baratanac; the land of tin, contracted afterwards to Bratanac, and then again softened into Britania”(Samuel Bochart, Phaleg, 1651).

This is the Tarshish that was to the West of Israel, operating in the Mediterranean and beyond. This is the direction Jonah fled aboard a ship of Tarshish trying to escape his commission to preach to Nineveh.

Anti-Catholic King-Makers Gain Power in Britain

Britains Minority Government can only hold power by uniting with the Anti-Catholic DUP

As Britain struggles to pull together a coalition government the angels have been at work reorganizing the political landscape of the country, bringing BREXITEERs to power, and forcing the government to unite with the Anti-Catholic DUP, originally formed by Ian Paisley.

The results of the British general election shocked many across the UK and the world when British Prime Minister Teresa May lost her majority in the British Parliament two weeks before Britain is due to start negotiating BREXIT – Britain’s Exit from Europe.

But are the results of this bringing Britain even more into line with Bible Prophecy.  Let us take a look...

Britain’s Role as dictated by the Bible

The result caused many to ponder what is going on. Clearly, Bible prophecy spoke about the need for Britain to Exit the European Union based on the role it must play as the Merchant of Tarshish with its Young Lions who stands in opposition to the Russo-European confederacy that will eventually sweep into the land:

“Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?” (Ezekiel 38:13)

It is not part of the European Beast of Revelation 17 that will make war with the lamb as we read in Rev 17:

“These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.” (Revelation 17:14)

Rather, it is part of a group of nations who will submit to the Lord Jesus Christ at the moment of crisis:

“The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: All nations shall serve him.” (Psalm 72:10–11)

Britain will be involved in assisting the Jews to return to the land:

“Surely the isles shall wait for me, And the ships of Tarshish first, To bring thy sons from far, Their silver and their gold with them, Unto the name of the LORD thy God, And to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, And their kings shall minister unto thee: For in my wrath I smote thee, But in my favour have I had mercy on thee.” (Isaiah 60:9–10)

What is going on?

So one has to wonder, what on earth is going on in the political world when the Prime Minister who is supposed to lead Britain out of the European Union loses her majority? This is when we need to step back and remember one clear fact:

“This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” (Daniel 4:17)

The angels are at work behind the scenes to give the reigns of world government into the hands of those who will bring about the purpose of God. In the late 1940’s, if True Bible Students had been voters in the national British election, (which we do not do because we believe in the principle of Dan 4:17), undoubtedly they would have voted for Winston Churchill, the politician most friendly to Israel. Yet Mr. Churchill lost the election before the war was even over. Into power came Clement Attlee and Earnest Bevin, a self-hating Jew, determined to demonstrate his Britishness over his Jewishness. Their policies, and restrictions on immigration post-holocaust, caused revolt in Palestine amongst the Jewish population, ending up with Britain relinquishing its mandate and the formation of the State of Israel. The very opposite of what we would have voted for caused the very thing that was in God’s plan – a sovereign state of Israel, answering to the “My of people Israel” described by God in Ezekiel 38.

Why did May lose the election?

It is too early to tell exactly what the angels are doing, but we do know the overall outcome. It was interesting to hear Nigel Farage’s comments on May’s blunder during an interview with a panel from the USA’s Fox news. Here are some excerpts.

Nigel Farage - "Mrs. May made a mess of it"

Nigel Farage - "Mrs. May made a mess of it"

“Well, I think Mrs May makes a mess of it! I mean, she had a parliamentary majority; we triggered Article 50; the negotiations with the European Union are due to start in 11 days time; and the next election was not due until 2020. She forced this fresh election upon the country, and she’s failed, and while she has just about crept back, with the support of some Northern Ireland Unionists, I think her credibility is completely and fatally damaged, not just here but in the eyes of the European Union too….

I have to say, there were no obstacles in our course at all. Whilst her majority wasn’t big, it was big enough. She has risked everything just to give herself an increased majority and it really has come undone….

If the election had gone about 10 seats the other way, we’d be facing the prospect of Prime Minister Corban.  He’s basically a Marxist; he’s cozied up over the years to Hamas, who he called his friends, Hez bollah, the IRA and he absolutely loathes the United States of America. Him becoming Prime Minister would have been a disaster for relations between our two countries, in terms of security, defense, and trade. So thank goodness it didn’t happen, but boy he got close….

Mrs. May will be at the palace to see the Queen, in 15 minutes time, as per our constitutional requirements. To form a government, to form a coalition government  she has to go there as the sitting Prime Minister. So constitutionally, she was not going to resign this morning. But I think she will not be there for very long at all. Who will it be? My guess is the two front runners will be Boris Johnson or David Davis, both of whom were on the Brexit side. You see the mystery… the mystery was Mrs. May voted “Remain”, Mrs. May was for staying in the European Union, and yet became leader of a Brexit Party. She went into this election lacking sincerity because she did not believe the words she was speaking and the Tory party now must, must, must get a Brexiteer to lead it!”

KING OF THE NORTH AND SOUTH IN BIBLE PROPHECY

Today in June 2017 we are witnessing events that are leading to a new International Geopolitical Alignment of Nations into a Northern and Southern Alliance.

King of the North and South, latter day Geopolitical Alignment of Nations

For True Bible Students what we are seeing is long expected Bible prophecy unfolding before our very eyes, events that gave long been expected.

After WWII the European nations were aligned in an East-West International Geopolitical alignment or configuration with the Berlin wall down the middle.  West Germany, France, Britain, Canada and the United States held the power in the west with the eastern European countries and Russia obviously holding power in the East.

As far as the Middle East was concerned the Arab nations all considered Israel as a hostile enemy.  And Saudi Arabia may have been hostile to Russia and friendly with America but it resisted any idea of peace with Israel.  Although there were changes here and there this persistent alliance made many to reconsider many of the prophecies and wonder if many had got it wrong.  Even still today NATO is a fully functioning historical East-West alliance, but there are cracks showing and nations are now considering their long held positions with Europe now looking at establishing their own EU Army.

A True Bible Student by the name of Grahame Pearce wrote these words in 1977 under the heading “Two Mountains of Brass”:

“According to the last part of Daniel, chapter 11, there will exist when Christ returns two hostile powers north and south of the land, repeating the kind of situation outlined in such detail in the early part of the chapter. The idea of a north and a south power is not limited to Daniel, ch. 11; it is even more clearly expressed in Zechariah, chapter 6. In this chapter the four chariots go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth to walk to and fro through the earth; the man whose name is the BRANCH becomes king and priest; the temple is built. Clearly, it is the time of setting up the kingdom. And the phrase of importance is that the four chariots go forth from between two mountains of brass. This conveys the idea of two 'mountain' powers north and south of Jerusalem. In Ezekiel, chapter 38, too, there is a power that challenges the northern invader: "Art thou come to take a spoil?" So we should be looking today for those movements that will provide "two mountain" powers antagonistic to each other established north and south of the Land of Israel.”

Graham Pearce was nothing short of excited about the developments with the Southern power but as far as peace with Israel, it still seemed along way off, in fact, Graham believed that it was possible that the temporary peace of Ezekiel 38 may develop after the return of Jesus Christ.  Listen to the following quote from the same book:

“The excitement of seeing many forward moves relative to the 'King of the South' is somewhat dampened when we turn to Israel. There is little insight that points to that strange peace in the land before the great confederacy comes from the north to take a spoil. Israel is to "dwell safely all of them;" they are described as "them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates;" "in that day when My people dwell safely, shalt thou not know it?"

As proposed in the booklet Russia, The Vatican and the Invasion of Israel this remarkable state of things probably follows on after the resurrection and the hidden unrecognized power of Christ as a major influence in this region. Nevertheless, we do well to look for signs that point in the direction of peace in this area; and they are not altogether absent.”

Christ is Coming SOON, Are YOU Ready?

Christ is Coming SOON! ARE YOU READY?

Are you ready for Christ’s Return?

Do you know about Christ’s Return and what this will mean to you?

Firstly the Bible speaks on Christ’s Return in two completely different ways eg:

Matthew 24:27-31

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Matthew 24:30

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Matthew 24:37-39

37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:40-42

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Luke 12:39-40

39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have left his house to be broken into. 40 You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

Luke 21:27-28

27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

1Thessalonians 4:13-18

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Thessalonians 5:2-5

2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

2 Peter 3:10

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

Okay so what do we learn from all these passages:

1.     When Christ comes the dead will rise first ie. Those who have died in belief and faith of Christ’s coming will be resurrected from the grave.

2.     The believers that are still alive at Christ’s coming will be gathered together to be with Christ and along with those who have been resurrected.

3.     At this point only those who were ready and waiting for Christ’s to come will see him as to all others his return will be like a thief and they will not realise that he has come.

4.     We know that one of the first things that Christ will do when he returns is judgement of all that we have done both good and bad.  And Peter tells us that this judgement must first begin at the household of God ie. With the Believers.

1 Peter 4:16-18

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

So Judgement will commence with the believers who will be taken away from this world for a time while this process takes place.  Where will they go?

Well Isaiah says that they will enter a place of privacy

Isaiah 26:19-21

19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

The world we live in is a world of contrasts.
